Dark Matter eLiquid

Enjoy the wonderful flavor of our latest VapeSafe eLiquid - Dark Matter.

Dark Matter tastes like German chocolate cake. For those of you who have not had the fortunate to try a piece German chocolate cake recently, this is a great way to experience the flavor without getting any of the calories. German chocolate cake is a layered cake filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. Traditionally sweet baking chocolate is used for the chocolate flavor in the actual cake. The robust filling and topping is a caramel made with egg yolks and evaporated milk. Once the caramel is cooked, coconut and pecans are stirred into the mixture. Finally, rich chocolate frosting is spread around the sides of the cake to hold in the filling.

Dark Matter eLiquid by VapeSafe captures the essence of German chocolate cake. Dark Matter eLiquid delivers plumes of vapor and rich chocolatey flavor that you'll want to enjoy again and again. Try Dark Matter today!

Summary: "Almost Perfect - Beats the Hamony 1100 in almost all features"

Almost 5 stars (but for the cons). This is a Must have for Home Theater users, and much cheaper than the Harmony 1100.

This product works as advertised - but could do with some software improvements: see below.

PROS:
* Software is Highly customizable - you can program Activities, move buttons around, assign Macros to specific buttons, rename buttons, program delays and the list goes on. For example - on my Comcast DVR ,I programmed a Macro to "Click" the FF 4 times, with just one touch on the IPOD, instead of 4. The possibilities are endless when it comes to customization. You can also choose to confirm each MACRO - a screen will pop up after you start an activity where you can turn on a device that did not turn on. This is MUCH BETTER than the Harmony remote I own, which is more cumbersome (which directs you to a few screens in sequence).

* Favorites list - you can create different favorite lists with a custom name for each - e.g. My Sports, News & Finance, etc. There are LOGOS for just about every channel out there.

* The device inputs for each activity can be programmed into every Macro e.g. HDMI 1.

* The Hardware is quite responsive, with good range - the components turn on instantly (except if you build a delay into the sequence).

* All Customization is done on your IPOD device - you don't have to connect it to your computer to program it - Unlike the Harmony remotes.

CONS:

* The software does not "remember" which components are on - e.g. if you switch from Watch TV to Watch DVD, the software sends a signal to the TV to turn on - but since it is already on - it will turn off, as well as the AV receiver! This is annoying. To get around this, I had to build a Macro into my Watch Tv activity, to just switch the inputs the Devices, but I still have to access my DVD device to turn it on and control it. This can easily fixed in a firmware update - and SHOULD BE. This is one advantage that Harmony remotes has over the Re.

* The remotes database (albeit decent) should be broader - and should be sorted by equipment model #. For my Onkyo audio receiver, a few buttons were not there - such as "Test tone", and a few other key ones. Thankfully there is a Learning feature - so make sure you have all your OLD remotes.

Overall, the customization of this software beats Logitech's remotes easily....

Once you plug in the Hardware and start the software - the screen immediately flips so that you have the IR emitter pointing the correct way.

You have to spend some time adding devices and programming the activities - but once set up, it is a joy to use (but for the issues above). And you can finally put your other remotes away!

Summary: "DONT BUY"

"The App is ok, but not very useful. Learning all those buttons is very tedious and can be unreliable. Without the sophisticated capabilities found in high end remotes available today (both on the iPhone and standalone) this one is an also-ran. A quick check on-line and you will find several better products for just a bit more money."

Summary: "Not as easy to setup as portrayed"

I have the application and the dongle so this review is on both

1. I have 2 HDMI port switchers; an XtemeHD (4 to 1) and another Belkin (3-1). Both don'd have codes and this category of accessories is not even listed in the database (dah), I suggest to the developer adding it and including some codes since none of the existing codes work.

2. When programing activities, the wizard does not ask for which HDMI or Audio-Video connection is used for the activity on the various devices. The wizard only asks which device controls the audio! The AV connection used for the activity are essential settings and have to be added manually after the macro is set. This is really cumbersome (especially if one has to "learn the IR code" because the existing one does not work, this happened on my Sony AVR). It would have been better to include that functionality in the initial activity setup. Even Logitech asks for these setting when an activity is being set.

3. There is a fair amount of clean up (buttons, IR code learning, etc) required after each activity or device is setup. Too much to actually detail here. So although the device "works" it is not as easy or straight forward as portrayed. And this all has to do with the crippled software provided.

4. I could not a way to backup the settings (including customization and learning) so it can be restored. Also I can't find the effect of a software upgrade on existing settings. If this functionality exists I would like to know, if it does not. it should be added.

Summary: "Great Idea But Needs Much Improvement"

Quite a few issues that make this product not worth purchasing for the amount it costs.
1. Overpriced
2. Needs to work as an app without the plug in. Having to find where I left the device can be more difficult than locating where your kids hid the remote because its small and not something you can permanently attach. By the time you attach, find the app, make sure you're in the right room and device then actually understand the screen you could've found your remote
3. Should be combined with TV Guide app so that you can see what is on then press to watch.
4. The view is impossible to navigate and is nothing like a common remote.

The only positive is the idea of changing channels from anywhere with your iphone.

Summary: "Works Great BUT"

Works great BUT if you otterbox defender case it will not fit. So you have to take it out of the case to use it. So think of finding a new case to use it more than i have been. I have Haier air condoner you have to use X10 code then it will work fine. It was really cool when i went to my Dr office charging the channels
